Kate is an experienced in-house and agency PR professional for business-to-business and academic markets as well as the third sector. She has spent her career providing communications consultancy and support for industries requiring significant in-depth knowledge and technical understanding; notably, four years within the maritime industry and two working with major UK scientific institutions.
Kate re-joined BLUE in 2014, having begun her career here as an Account Executive upon receiving her degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from De Montfort University. Between her roles at BLUE, Kate worked at award-winning PR agency Cuban Eight, operating across a range of B2B and B2C clients in science, technology and local government. There she supported clients through thought leadership development programmes, media relations and event-driven campaigns including a major tech launch onto the NYSE. Previously, she held an in-house PR support role with the UK’s Science and Technology Facilities Council. Kate is detail focused and prides herself on understanding her clients and their needs inside out to provide them with the best possible strategic communications advice and accurate, compelling copy.
At BLUE Kate’s role involves managing and delivering communications programmes for clients including NAPA, the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) and global NGO, Carbon War Room.
