Commenting on the appointment, Alisdair Pettigrew, managing director, BLUE, said:

“BLUE has realised significant growth in the past 12 months, and demonstrated the considerable opportunities of championing the importance of brand and reputation in our niche markets.   With the seismic change we are seeing in marine and energy, we have only scratched the surface of the potential, and we are confident and have ambitions for exponential expansion on a global basis.  In managing this growth, it is critical that we have access to experience and subjective insight from people that have operated at the highest strategic level within market leading organisations.

Peter delivers this, and his knowledge and insight is second to none and we are genuinely pleased that he sees BLUE’s potential, and shares our ambitions and excitement for the future.”

Peter Boyd, non-executive director, BLUE, added:

“Having worked on the client side with BLUE for many years, it is clear to me that their passion and vision for professionalising PR and communications in the industries they serve is one that translates into significant business opportunity and growth.  BLUE’s enthusiasm for taking a strategic approach, married with their knowledge and insight of the marine and energy markets sets them apart, and has enabled them to pioneer genuine understanding of the value brand and reputation brings to an organisation, helping their clients to thrive in rapidly changing markets. I’m excited about working with them and sharing their journey.”
