The panel discussion entitled ‘The Challenges and Benefits of SEEMP Compliance’ started at 13.00. With the enforcement of regulation imminent, the event was attended by over 60 representatives from ship owners, industry bodies and trade associations, many of whom were invited from BLUE’s network of contacts. The debate was chaired by Katharina Stantzel, Deputy Managing Director of Intertanko who was joined by panellists Captain Nansi Purendu, HSEQ Manager, NYK Shipmanagement, Takeshi Shimada, General Manager, EEDI Division, ClassNK and Esa Henttinen Vice President, Business Development.
