As a founder and managing director of BLUE, Alisdair has consulted in the international shipping, offshore and energy markets at the highest levels for over 20 years, shaping both business and communications strategies. Alisdair is also managing director of Saltwater, a BLUE brand, supporting its work in the marine leisure and superyacht markets.
His work has included advising on growth strategies, providing market intelligence, consulting on mergers and acquisitions, providing introductions to partners and customers, and developing market-changing concepts.
Alisdair also spent several years as senior advisor to Sir Richard Branson’s NGO, The Carbon War Room shipping operation, now part of Rocky Mountain Institute. He also regularly moderates and speaks at industry events and comments on macro market themes, including the maritime energy transition, renewable fuels, and clean technology.
