Pete joined BLUE Communications in February 2020 as an Account Executive as part of the Public Relations team. Having started out in our Oxford base, he has since moved to our London office. He works with a range of clients at BLUE but is particularly focused on the maritime alternative fuels and clean technology segments. His clients include Houlder, a design and engineering consultancy with sustainability at its core; Silverstream, the market-leading air lubrication technology provider; and PowerCell Group, the developer and supplier of fuel cells for multiple sectors including marine.
Prior to joining BLUE, Pete worked in marketing in the higher education industry in a role spanning marketing campaign planning, social media management and design work. He studied Business Management and International Relations at Oxford Brookes University and graduated in 2018. He chose to focus on environmental protection throughout his studies, taking Environmentally Sustainable Business and Global Environmental Politics modules and writing his dissertation on sustainable development and ecological modernisation in China and India.
Outside of work, he is passionate about scuba diving and marine conservation, and he has worked as a PADI scuba diving instructor. Also, being half German, he is proficient in the language (and supports FC Bayern München). He also enjoys tennis, golf and skiing.
