BLUE SPENT FRIDAY 11TH FEBRUARY EXPERIENCING AT FIRST HAND THE WORLD-CLASS TRAINING FACILITIES AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS OF GAC TRAINING & SERVICE SOLUTIONS (GTSS), ONE OF BLUE’S CLIENTS.

GTSS is a partnership between the National Mairitime College of Ireland, the worlds most advanced maritime training facility, and GAC, the global provider of marine, shipping and logistics solutions. GTSS offers innovative, cost-saving training courses for maritime professionals, led by a team of highly respected industry-leading lecturers.

BLUE and the rest of the GTSS team were put through some of the training excersises available at the College, a $100m state-of-the-art facility located just outside Cork. This including navigating a vessel around New York Harbour in one of the College’s cutting-edge bridge simulators, a repair excercise set in a rapidly flooding chamber in the Damage Repair Instructional Unit and a range of drills in the College’s survival pool, before rounding off the day with a rather more sedate suset boat trip back to Cork city centre.
